The draw is done. Qualifying for the Astra Coffee & More Open 2026 begins on Sunday 23 August at 10:00 on the AZS courts in Poznań – the first matches of the 27th International Greater Poland Tennis Championships.
Forty-eight players for eight places
The qualifying draw features 48 players from 16 countries, including 27 Poles. The competition runs over three rounds and eight qualifiersreach the main draw. With the field not full, sixteen players start in the second round.
The highest-ranked player in qualifying is Jasza Szajrych, the world number 1400 in the ATP ranking. Also worth watching are Malaysia's Darrshan Suresh, ranked 44th on the ITF list, and the American Michael Savano.
Alongside the Poles, qualifying features players from Australia, Belarus, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Malaysia, Peru, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
Wild cards
The organisers awarded qualifying wild cards to seven players: Adam Dąbrowski, Maksymilian Domański, Wojciech Marek, Karol Romer, Jan Werbliński, as well as Peru's Marco Antonio Inga Huauyi and Australia's Norbert Zieliński.
A tenth appearance in Poznań
In Sunday's session, on court one, plays Mikołaj Borkowski – the player with the longest span of appearances in the tournament's history. He first came to Poznań in 2005 and this is his tenth appearance. He was given his place in qualifying after withdrawals from the entry list. His opponent will be Kevin Pabisiak.
Sunday: sixteen matches on four courts
The first day features 16 first-round matches – four on each of the four courts. Play starts at 10:00; the following matches begin immediately after the preceding ones, except for those with a stated time.
Qualifying runs until Monday. The main draw starts on Tuesday 25 August.
