The matches were played in the heat, and two of the eight ended in retirement.<\/p>\n<h3>Singles second round<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Mathys Erhard (France, No. 1) \u2013 Alan Bojarski (Poland, Q) 6-3 7-6(6)<\/li>\n<li>Kirill Kivattsev (No. 8) \u2013 Jasza Szajrych (Poland) 7-6(7) 3-6 5-2 ret.<\/li>\n<li>Alexey Vatutin (No. 3) \u2013 Igor Gimenez (Brazil) 6-2 4-6 6-2<\/li>\n<li>Karol Filar (Poland) \u2013 Karlis Ozolins (Latvia, Q) 6-3 6-2<\/li>\n<li>Fryderyk Lechno-Wasiuty\u0144ski (Poland, WC) \u2013 Jan Hrazdil (Czech Republic, Q) 7-6(6) 6-1<\/li>\n<li>Maks Ka\u015bnikowski (Poland, No. 4) \u2013 Tom Zeuch (Germany, LL) 6-2 5-7 7-6(8)<\/li>\n<li>Matthew William Donald (Czech Republic) \u2013 Alec Beckley (South Africa, No. 6) 6-2 1-0 ret.<\/li>\n<li>Corentin Denolly (France, No. 2) \u2013 Carles Hernandez (Spain) 6-3 6-3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tom Zeuch held out longest. The German came into the draw as a lucky loser from qualifying, won his first-round match, and in the second took Ka\u015bnikowski to a third-set tie-break, losing it only 8-10. The fourth-seeded Pole saved match points in that finish.<\/p>\n<p>Alan Bojarski, one of eight qualifiers in the draw, made life difficult for the tournament's top seed. Erhard won the first set 6-3, but had to settle the second in a tie-break.<\/p>\n<p>Two matches ended early. Jasza Szajrych retired at 2-5 in the third set against Kivattsev, and the sixth seed Alec Beckley withdrew in the second set against Matthew William Donald. The Czech, world No. 691, had knocked out his first seeded player of the tournament.<\/p>\n<h3>Doubles quarter-finals<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Jeffrey Hsu \/ Karlis Ozolins \u2013 Alec Beckley \/ Nikita Mashtakov (No. 1) 3-6 6-4 10-7<\/li>\n<li>Corentin Denolly \/ Mathys Erhard \u2013 Jakub Hrynkiewicz \/ Kacper Knitter 6-3 6-4<\/li>\n<li>Conor Gannon \/ Harry Rock \u2013 Przemys\u0142aw Michocki \/ Nicolas Zanellato 6-1 6-1<\/li>\n<li>Kirill Kivattsev \/ Alexey Vatutin \u2013 Jan Hrazdil \/ Jasza Szajrych (No. 2) ret.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both seeded pairs went out in the doubles quarter-finals. The top seeds Beckley and Mashtakov were beaten in a match tie-break by Hsu and Ozolins, and the second seeds Hrazdil and Szajrych conceded their match after a retirement.<\/p>\n<h3>Friday's schedule<\/h3>\n<p>The singles quarter-finals are scheduled for Friday, with play starting at 10:00.
