On Saturday evening, a few hours after the doubles final and on the eve of the singles final, Hotel Libert\u00e9 33 hosted the tournament Tennis Party \u2014 an event accompanying Astra Coffee & More Open 2026, held at one of the championships\u2019 partners.<\/p>\n
The guest of the evening was the Mayor of Pozna\u0144, Jacek Ja\u015bkowiak. For the organisers his presence is a signal that the championships, held for twenty-seven years and today an ITF World Tennis Tour event with a $30,000 prize fund, are treated as part of the city\u2019s sporting map rather than an event known only within the tennis community. The city was also represented by the newly appointed Deputy Mayor of Pozna\u0144, Bartosz Derech.<\/p>\n
Representatives of the championships\u2019 partners and sponsors were among the guests. The title sponsor was represented by Janusz Kosi\u0144ski, founder of the Lagris Group. Also present were Marcin Piszcz of the Piszcz i Wsp\u00f3lnicy law firm and the tournament supervisor Zarko Popovic. The Tennis Party was likewise attended by Wojciech Fibak, who had watched matches from the centre court stands both the day before and again today.<\/p>\n
The evening was an opportunity to thank those without whom a tournament of this rank would not take place in Pozna\u0144, to offer congratulations and \u2014 as at any gathering of tennis people \u2014 to talk about the game itself, about the players\u2019 form and about what Sunday\u2019s final will bring.<\/p>\n
Tournament director Jacek Muzolf revealed that shortly before the gathering he had spoken with Daniel Michalski, who promised he would do everything to win Sunday\u2019s final. Those words carry extra weight in Pozna\u0144. Since Astra Coffee & More became title sponsor of the championships two years ago, the singles final has always ended in a Polish victory: in 2024 it was won by Michalski himself, after a three-set battle with the Czech Michael Vrbensky, and a year later by Fryderyk Lechno-Wasiuty\u0144ski. Tomorrow that run has a chance to continue.<\/p>\n
