Prize money
Three steps up and not a single one down – including 2020, when the pandemic made this one of the few tournaments of its level played anywhere in the world that month.
Champions
Every result since the first surviving edition. The sponsor name of each edition appears under the year. Formally the tournament has kept the same name throughout: the International Greater Poland Tennis Championships.

Returns
Entry-level tournaments are, by their nature, visited once: a player takes the points and moves on to the next event. The Poznań archive, however, shows a group of players who kept coming back season after season.
Players from Poland
| No. | Player | Country | Entries | Years |

International players
The combined list is made up entirely of Poles – with Poles accounting for close to forty per cent of the field, it could hardly be otherwise. A separate list shows something less obvious: among the international players who return, the share of tournament winners is markedly higher.
| No. | Player | Country | Entries | Years |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. | Christian Grunes | GER | 6 | 2000–2009 |
| 2. | David Novak | CZE | 6 | 2003–2009 |

Longest gap: Jaroslav Pospisil – a 14-year gap between playing in 2006 and returning in 2020.
Poznań in the careers of leading players
The value of an entry-level tournament archive is that it lets you follow the early stages of careers of players who, a few years later, were competing at a completely different level. The years next to the names come straight from the Poznań draws.
Eighteen ATP doubles titles and world No. 6 in doubles (August 2012). With Marcin Matkowski he formed the most successful Polish pair in history – together they won the Masters 1000 titles in Madrid in 2008 and 2012, reached the 2011 US Open final and the final of the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals. In Poznań he won two different titles in two consecutive years: the doubles in 2000 with Filip Anioła and the singles in 2001. He retired in 2017.
World No. 7 in doubles and eighteen ATP titles, fifteen of them alongside Mariusz Fyrstenberg. In the 2012 Madrid Masters 1000 final they beat Robert Lindstedt – the 2002 champion in Poznań. A four-time Olympian and for many years a mainstay of the Davis Cup team.
World No. 6 (August 2024) – the highest position ever reached by a Polish player in the ATP ranking. Winner of two Masters 1000 titles: Miami 2021 and Shanghai 2023. In the 2021 Wimbledon quarter-final he beat Roger Federer 6-3, 7-6, 6-0 – the last singles match of the Swiss player's career; Hurkacz went on to reach the semi-final. He played in Poznań three times and in 2017 reached the doubles final here with Michał Dembek and the singles quarter-final.
The first Pole to top the world ATP ranking – he became world No. 1 in doubles in January 2018. Twenty-seven doubles titles, including Wimbledon 2017 with Marcelo Melo and the 2014 Australian Open with Robert Lindstedt, the 2002 champion in Poznań. In singles he reached the 2013 Wimbledon quarter-final. He played in Poznań in 2001, at the start of his career.
A three-time Wimbledon doubles finalist (2010–2012) and world No. 3 in doubles. In 2014 he won a Grand Slam title: the Australian Open with Łukasz Kubot, who had played in Poznań a year before him. He was later also a Wimbledon finalist in mixed doubles.
World No. 57 in singles (January 2014) – one of the best results by a Polish player of his generation. In 2010 he beat the 17th seed Ivan Ljubičić in the first round of Wimbledon. In 2014 he won the ATP 500 doubles title in Tokyo with Pierre-Hugues Herbert. He appears in the Poznań archive across fifteen years; in 2003, aged nineteen, he played in the final here.
A two-time Grand Slam champion in mixed doubles – the Australian Open and Wimbledon in 2024, both with Hsieh Su-wei. In men's doubles, world No. 7 (2023), a finalist at the 2023 Australian Open and winner of the Masters 1000 in Rome. He played in Poznań three times; in 2020 he won the doubles here with Kacper Żuk.
A Wimbledon semi-finalist in 2013 – stopped only by Andy Murray, who won the title a few days later. A year earlier he came through qualifying all the way to the final of the Masters 1000 in Paris, beating Murray, Marin Čilić and Janko Tipsarević on the way. In August 2013 he was world No. 14. Earlier, a two-time junior Grand Slam finalist.
In 2012, ranked 100th in the world, he beat Rafael Nadal in the second round of Wimbledon 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 – one of the biggest upsets in the tournament's history. That same season he won the Davis Cup with the Czech team. Two ATP singles titles and a career-high ranking of No. 26 (2014). In Poznań he reached the final.
One of India's leading players of recent years – world No. 68 in July 2024. In the same season, in the first round of the Australian Open, he beat the 31st seed Alexander Bublik. It was the first time since 1989 that an Indian player had beaten a seeded opponent at a Grand Slam.
The 2001 edition: the same draw featured Łukasz Kubot, Marcin Matkowski, Mariusz Fyrstenberg, Tomasz Bednarek and Michał Przysiężny – players who over the next decade and a half formed the core of Polish tennis.
Draws
The complete draws of every edition – main draw, qualifying and doubles. The data comes straight from the ITF archive; seedings and entry status are preserved next to each player (WC – wild card, Q – qualifier, LL – lucky loser).
