Friday belonged to the Poles. Daniel Michalski and Filip Pieczonka won their quarter-finals and both will play tomorrow for a place in the final of the main draw.
Michalski, the top seed, gave the Czech Matyas Cerny five games. Pieczonka played the best match of the tournament so far, beating the fifth seed Gerard Campana Lee 6-2 7-5. That is the second seeded opponent he has stopped in a row.

The all-Polish doubles semi-final went to Piotr Matuszewski and Jan Werbliński, who saved themselves in a second-set tie-break against Jan Chłodnicki and Oliwier Sterniczuk. In the final they face the top-seeded Argentinian pair of Valentin Basel and Franco Ribero.

Tomorrow there will be Poles in both semi-finals, which we are delighted about. We hope at least one of them reaches the final — and who knows, maybe we will see both.
